1. Mechanism & Performance
MXC-A1 is chemically engineered to drive the foam-rising process:
- Strong Blowing Effect: It has a specific catalytic efficiency ratio: approximately 80% for the blowing reaction (gas generation) and 20% for the gel reaction (hardening).
- Low Dosage: Due to its high potency, only small amounts are required to control foam rise and density effectively.
- Process Safety: When used with organotin catalysts, it significantly improves “processing latitude,” meaning the production line is more forgiving of minor metering errors or operating fluctuations.
2. Primary Applications
- Flexible Foams: The primary choice for soft polyether foams (furniture, bedding).
- Rigid Foams: Used in specialized packaging foams where density reduction is critical.
